Adventure Documentary Film/Photo Passion Project
We are working hard to get this project ready. We are going to be doing a kickstarter soon so stay tuned!
Two & a half years ago when we welcomed Elijah into our lives we started to really learn that life is so busy and goes way too fast. Then once Micah was born a year ago we really were settling into a “normal way of life”. It is very easy to get caught up in the routine of work, bills, parenting, and going about our daily routine. We (Joshua & Christin) want to make sure we are intentional in our marriage, our friendships, our parenting and we want to live life intentionally. We want our family to live life truly experiencing the beauty and love that life has to offer. This is why we have decided to pack up our two children in our 1984 Westfalia van and travel from Bellingham, Washington to Big Sur, California for two weeks. Our journey will highlight our love for travel, love of adventure, love of family seeking to inspire the a generation.
One of the greatest influences on a student’s success is the attention of a committed adult mentor.
Every student needs a caring adult in their life to listen to them, believe in them, and to dream with them. We support healthy mentoring relationships for every interested student that enhances the development of strong virtues and work ethic, and the development of marketplace skills. One student, with One adult, for One hour each week.
Alex found himself a deep hole and had little hope for a better life. He and his friends were into drugs and skipped school often. When asked if he wanted a mentor he thought, “finally”. As the result of having dedicated and caring mentors, Alex has now graduated and is going to college with hope for a brighter future.
Sky was having a hard time focusing in school and staying motivated to get her work done. She hadn’t given much thought to going to college but because of her mentor’s influence, she applied herself to strive toward the goals she knew would make her life better. Sky will be graduating on time and has been accepted at several colleges. Having a mentor has helped her reach for things she didn’t realize she wanted.
A video I created for Logos Bible Software and a promo for New Generation Haiti.
The Logos video was created to be played at the Catalyst conference. I came up with the idea because of catalyst's tag line ""a community of change makers." Instantly I thought of Mike. We had already started the process to make a video however I didn't feel it was right and pitched the idea of going to haiti. It got approved and I believe the end result couldn't have done the job any better.
There isn't enough I could say or write about this trip. We went to a village named The Place Of Darkness... insane. They had been oppressed by witch doctors for generations, but recently kicked the witch out of the village and have completely tuned around. Its an amazing story of darkness, struggle, overcoming, and hope.
This video was for a Kickstarter project Logos Bible Software did.
For the last 5 years, the in-house design team at the Faithlife Corporation has illustrated one Bible verse every day. This art has found its way onto t-shirts, magnets, and postcards. And with your help—a coffee table book.
19 designers and 31 writers invested their energy and creativity to this collection, each riffing on the timeless, inspired words of Scripture.
Each designer worked hard to capture the essence of each verse in its historical and cultural context, and to design in a way that makes clear the way in which the original readers would have understood it.
Promotional piece for the launch of the new Logos 6.
Photo assignment for Logos Bible Software.
Arizona you are awesome.
Yesterday was packed up and started at horseshoe bend for sunrise Photos. Jeff @namkcaps was there taking photos and started talking to me. We found out he had very similar plans for the day, so he joined us for an awesome day in AZ. He is an awesome guy and takes awesome photos, check him out.
It's currently snowing!!! We brought the PNW to AZ! ❄️
Off to Sedona now!
The Arizona trip has been amazing, I wish I could just take everyone and go do everything we did.
Some awesome shots at horseshoe bend (so technically I saw the Grand Canyon?) we slept in the parking lot, finally falling asleep around 3am and waking up around 6am to get shots. It was amazing watching the sun rise spilling onto the red rock and fill the massive canyon with light.
After a epic jam-packed (about 20 hours of driving in 3 days... #gettheshot #whatssleep) the stories of befriending stray dogs, meeting a new friend (@namkcaps ), off-roading in the middle of now where at night to find a place to camp, and how we woke up to snow only to be in shorts later that day!

Video I made for Logos Bible Software. The idea came to me as I was thinking about how John 3:16 is one of the most noted bible verses ever. With this I believe we become a bit numb to the weight of the meaning.
I wanted to incorporate Revelation 7:9 idea of all people of the world with John 3:16 thus using people from around the world in their home language to communicate this message.
I hope this video will give us a moment to reflect on what Jesus did on the cross for every nation, and peoples and languages.
